The 2023 Annual Bach Society concerts feature Bach’s Cantata BWV 8 Liebster Gott wenn werd ich sterben and the world premieres of our newly commissioned work, Earth Cantata, by American composer Aaron Alter. Artistic Director Franz Vote commissioned Earth Cantata as a work to be composed in the style of Bach. Aaron Alter has written a beautiful cantata that evokes Bach’s musical language in “updated” version.
