DESCRIPTION:Introduction to the New NMPAS Artist Chamber Series\nAs ED Linda Marianiello and AD Franz Vote step back and create space for other NMPAS artists to present interesting chamber music programs on the 2024-2025 series, we’re excited that four artists have stepped up to the plate and submitted program proposals that we think you’ll love! Artists who took up the challenge this season are: André García-Nuthmann, Elizabeth Baker, Daniel Schwab and Joel Becktell in collaboration with Margaret-Mary Sauppé and Linda Marianiello.\nArtist Chamber Series I: Music for Vocal Quartet and Piano\nFriday, January 10, 2025 at 7 PM\nUnitarian Universalist Church, Santa Fe\nPROGRAM\nNMPAS presented a similar set of beautiful works for vocal quartet and piano in Spring 2023; it was a big hit with artists and audiences alike. There is a wealth of great music for vocal quartet by composers like Johannes Brahms, Franz Schubert, Robert Schumann and other German composers of the Romantic Era, in particular. Maestro Vote lived and worked in Germany and Western Europe for over a decade from 1982-1993. In collaboration with tenor André García-Nuthmann, they are planning a program of delightful, uplifting and expressive music in the vocal quartet and piano genre.
