The NMPAS Fostering Excellence Campaign
An Invitation
As invaluable members of the NMPAS community, we treasure your enthusiasm and support as we celebrate the high level of musicianship and professional standards that we have fostered over 11 years. As loyal donors and sponsors your partnership will help expand all that is rich and wonderful about NMPAS in New Mexico. At this momentous time, we invite you to serve as co-creators in realizing the next phase of NMPAS’s life by considering a gift to the sustainability campaign.
The Plan
The Fostering Excellence Campaign is a plan to ensure that our Mission and Vision will continue to benefit New Mexicans for decades to come. The campaign began receiving special donations on top of the Annual Appeal in Fall 2020 and we’ve already raised 26%. A special thanks to those Founding Members who have already donated to the campaign!
By FY28, NMPAS plans to raise all the support to meet our goal of being a fully professionalized organization, presenting 12-15 annual programs with salaries for two full-time staff, part-time development and marketing consultants, and a reserve fund. Click here to become a founding member.
Why Now
The Fostering Excellence Campaign works hand in hand with our Succession Plan. Linda and Franz intend for New Mexico audiences to enjoy many years of great performances beyond their tenure. They are in conversation with the NMPAS Board and other community leaders concerning the Succession Plan that will accompany their retirement as members of the founding group in 2026-2027. They will assist the NMPAS Board in identifying and training their successors and provide the requisite artistic leadership for a smooth transition.
A Brief History
Executive Director Linda Marianiello and Artistic Director Franz Vote moved to Santa Fe to “retire” more than a decade ago. Little did they realize that they would help to found and lead NMPAS to its status as an important presenter of excellent New Mexican professionals. The annual NMPAS concert series serves around 2,500-3,000 people at live performances and many who attend via live stream. In addition, NMPAS broadcasts two to three season performances on KHFM Classical Public Radio, serving as a specially featured presenter in their annual Festival of the Performing Arts. Each broadcast reaches around 50,000 listeners.
Your Participation
There are several ways you can participate in the Fostering Excellence Campaign! Please contact Linda Marianiello at the NMPAS office at (505) 474-4513 to discuss them.
NMPAS deeply appreciates the generosity of donors to the Fostering Excellence Campaign. All contributions will be acknowledged in close consultation with individual donors. Campaign gifts may be given in honor of family members and friends, special NMPAS artists, board members and community leaders.
